My organic vegetables are growing very well.

Although I've never blogged before, I've decided to start a blog this gardening season about growing organic vegetables in my back yard. I'm completely new to this, so please be patient with my efforts. A garden this size is a little different for where I live, which is in a large metropolitan area. My wife and I started with a small garden, but it just kept growing in size. I checked into becoming a "certified organic grower", but the cost was too high for someone that wasn't going to be selling the produce. I was told that I could correctly say that my vegetables are "organically produced".

I currently cultivate over 1,500 square feet of ground in my back yard. Included in that square footage figure are a few containers of herbs, and my four barrels of Yukon Gold potatoes. Also included are various types of fruit and vegetables that are not in the major part of my garden, such as my grape vines, sunflowers, red raspberries, blueberries, horseradish, and lemon grass. I have attached a photo of my garden area, but it does not show all of the cultivated areas.
